Pat Welch
Pat Welch began his drag racing career at the age of 11, racing in the National Hot Rod Association's Junior Drag Racing League. It was here that Pat learned all the fundamentals of racing, and developed a passion that would pave his road for life. In just 6 years of Junior Drag Racing, Pat accumulated over 100 trophies from semi-final and final round finishes, and received numerous other honors such as a peer-voted driver of the year award and a National Championship; a feat that only a small percentage of Junior Drag Racers will ever accomplish.

After aging out of the Junior Drag Racing League, Pat made a virtually seamless transition into the bigger ranks racing a big block Chevy-powered dragster in the Super Comp category. He has competed in Division 7 events as well as NHRA Full Throttle series National Events. In Pat's desire to become more competitive, he saw the value in having mechanical knowledge and decided to attend UTI, where he eventually graduated among the top in his class. Pat and his successes in racing is a prime example of the sheer power of hard work, dedication and passion. Currently, he is still the primary driver and chief mechanic of a 7.40 running dragster, which he races in Super Comp, Super Eliminator, and a few bracket events.
